RED THREAD is a multimedia project whose aim is to create a safe space for sharing experiences related to depression and promoting open dialogue about mental health. It contains 7 large-format, embroidered portraits made on curtains, recordings of 6 performative conversations with heroines of the project, who are suffering from depression. In the gallery space was also created an installation made of over a hundred balls of red yarn. The donor of the yarn is Bafpol company.
The first presentation and exhibition took place at the Wałbrzych Art Gallery BWA in Wałbrzych/Poland, on the premises of the Old Mine.
Bohaterkami projektu są: Aneta Romanowska, Anna Fabian, Justyna Duszyńska, Karolina Czepkiewicz, Katarzyna Benka, Luba Shynder i Ania Chudzik-Pawlik.
Nagrania rozmów wykonane zostały we współpracy z Arkadiuszem Ratajem. Przestrzeni do nagrań użyczył nam Dom Kultury KADR w Warszawie.
