Fairy tale BASKET is my first fairy tale ever. Wrote or illustrated. It was a great joy be able to put this story in words, then in painted and embroidered illustrations.
I think that this story was incubating in me for a long time. Happily, this autumn - not so happy for me, dark, struggling - I found the energy within myself to materialize my dream. It gave me the comfort, peace and satisfaction. I hope that despite 48 spreads, you - Dear Reader - will come till the end of the story.
Maybe even you will find something in common. If not - it is possible that I will write another story. Maybe then?

At the end of the book, I've written a thank-you note to the authors and researchers who inspired me in this project—I'll just mention them here: Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, authors of the fairy tale "Little Red Riding Hood," Marie-Louise von Franz, author of "Individuation in Fairy Tales" and "Anima and Animus in Fairy Tales" and Hermann Rorschach, author of the Rorschach test. Thank you all!

Below is a PDF from the book I created, so you can read the story and view the illustrations. The text is in both English and Polish. The translation was created with the great help of Google Translate. There are probably some errors, but that's okay. Mistakes are good. At least I'm learning to appreciate them and my own fallibility. Of course, you can download BASKET/KOSZYK. If you will share it online or anywhere else, please credit the source and author. If I create a paperback prototype or a small print run, I'll let you know. The book's format might then be slightly different.
Below you can look at few screens of spreads and couple embroidery designs created to illustrate the story, so you can sense a look of it.
