Fairy tale BASKET is my first fairy tale ever. Wrote or illustrated. It was a great joy be able to put this story in words, then in painted and embroidered illustrations.
I think that this story was incubating in me for a long time. Happily, this autumn - not so happy for me, dark, struggling - I found the energy within myself to materialize my dream. It gave me the comfort, peace and satisfaction.
At the end of the book, I've written a thank-you note to the authors and researchers who inspired me in this project—I'll just mention them here: Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, authors of the fairy tale "Little Red Riding Hood," Marie-Louise von Franz, author of "Individuation in Fairy Tales" and "Anima and Animus in Fairy Tales" and Hermann Rorschach, author of the Rorschach test.
