Fairy tale BASKET is my first fairy tale ever. It was a great joy be able to put this story in words, then in painted and embroidered illustrations.
I think that this story was incubating in me for a long time. Happily, this autumn I found the energy within myself to materialize my dream. It gave me the comfort, peace and satisfaction.
At the end of the book, I've written a thank-you note to the authors and researchers who inspired me in this project—I'll just mention them here: Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, authors of the fairy tale "Little Red Riding Hood," Marie-Louise von Franz, author of "Individuation in Fairy Tales" and "Anima and Animus in Fairy Tales" and Hermann Rorschach, author of the Rorschach test. Thank you all!
Below you can look at few screens of spreads and couple embroidery designs created to illustrate the story, so you can sense a look of it.
