"The Cherry Tree" is my second fairy tale. Before this version, probably the final one, there were at least a dozen of them. Unlike the fairy tale "The Basket," this one has two intertwining threads, stories, worlds. And two endings. Creating and writing this way gave me immense pleasure. Embroidering on the gold fabric was also a wonderful adventure. I was inspired, as in the case of the fairy tale "The Basket" - by the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. The analytical texts by my recent favorite author, Maria Louise von Franz, also proved helpful. I don't know when more fairy tales will be created. But it will be.
Below you can look at few screens of spreads and couple embroidery designs created to illustrate the story, so you can sense a look of it.
