"The Cherry Tree" is my second fairy tale. Before this version, probably the final one was created, there were at least a dozen of them. Unlike the fairy tale "The Basket," this one has two intertwining threads, stories, worlds. And two endings... Creating and writing this way gave me immense pleasure. Embroidering on the gold fabric was also a wonderful adventure. I was inspired, as in the case of the fairy tale "The Basket" - by the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. The analytical texts by my recent favorite author, Maria Louise von Franz, also proved helpful. I don't know when more fairy tales will be created. But it will be.

Below I uploaded a PDF from the book I created, so you can read the story and view the illustrations. The text is in both English and Polish. Please be understanding of the translation, which likely has a lot of errors. For me accepting this, and the imperfections of everything I do, makes sense because I'm parting with the "perfectionist" streak in me. Of course, you can download CHERRY TREE_DRZEWO CZEREÅšNI. If you will share it online or anywhere else, please credit the source and author.

Here you can look at few screens of spreads and couple embroidery designs created to illustrate the story, so you can sense a look of it.
